STARTING OR REACTIVATING A CHAPTER

The National Office actively encourages the expansion of Rho Lambda to honor and foster sorority leadership within the Greek community.

If your chapter has become inactive or you would like to charter a completely new chapter of Rho Lambda on your campus, the instructions are below.

At any step in the process, please feel free to reach out to the National Staff for help or if you have questions by emailing rholambda@miami.edu.

Once you have submitted the Chapter interest form, the one-time $75 activation fee is due. Payment can be made online or via check. The National Office can generate a PayPal invoice for the amount for electronic payment online using a credit/debit card. Or, the National Office accepts payment by a physical check made out to “Rho Lambda National Office”. If the National Office must register as a vendor or if an official invoice is needed to process payment, please email the National Office at rholambda@miami.edu

STEP 3

When the activation payment has been made, an official activation letter from the Executive Director will be sent to the new or reactivating chapter along with other chapter enclosures, including example nomination forms, by-laws, and the ritual. Additionally, the National Office will mail a sample of each of the merchandise items that are available for use in initiation and graduation ceremonies. The new or reactivating chapter will then be officially activated and may begin initiating new members.
